Most of Calvin's days are spent in Bend. Awbrey Butte, Shevlin Park, Northwest Crossing, Tetherow, Broken Top and the rest of town are all on the regular route.
Calvin does the heavy part. He carries the sectional down the stairs and rolls out the dead hot tub, then loads it all on his 18-yard dump truck.
Whatever cannot be donated or recycled ends up at the county landfill on SE 27th Street, the only one in Deschutes County. Calvin sorts first, so usable furniture goes to Furnished Hope, Habitat for Humanity ReStore or Goodwill, and metal goes to recyclers.
