What goes on the truck

Every service has its own page, and the full services list has a short note on each.

Around the house

Most loads are ordinary household things. If it is inside the house and not hazardous, it can usually go.

  • Couches, sectionals, recliners and chairs
  • Beds, mattresses, box springs and frames
  • Dressers, desks, bookcases and tables
  • Fridges, freezers, washers, dryers and ranges
  • TVs and old electronics
  • Boxes, clothing, books and toys
  • Rugs, carpet and exercise equipment

Outside and in the garage

The yard and the garage are where the bigger things live.

  • Hot tubs, sheds, decks and playsets
  • Trampolines and swing sets
  • Grills and patio furniture, with any propane tank set aside
  • Bikes, sports gear, tools and shelving
  • Tires, at +$10 each
  • Scrap metal, old fencing and lumber
  • Campers, RVs and old manufactured homes

Construction and remodel debris

Drywall, cut lumber, cabinets, countertops, old fixtures, flooring and carpet all go, from a job site or a lived-in house. Large amounts of concrete, dirt or sod are the exception.

What Calvin won't take

Being clear up front saves a wasted trip.

  • Hazardous materials like paint, chemicals, oil and asbestos
  • Large amounts of concrete, dirt or sod
  • Small jobs far outside the service area
  • Rush jobs that do not fit the schedule

If Calvin can't take it

Paint, oil, chemicals and other household hazardous waste go to the county's hazardous waste facility at the landfill instead. The Bend dump guide has where it is. Set those things aside before Calvin arrives so they do not end up in the pile by mistake.

One customer said Calvin even helped figure out where to take the few items he could not accept.

Where it ends up

Calvin sorts as he loads, so a load is never just dumped. Usable furniture and household goods are set aside for donation, metal goes to metal recyclers, cardboard and other recyclables go to recycling, and only what is left goes to the landfill.

Furniture and household goods that still work go to Furnished Hope, Habitat for Humanity ReStore, and Goodwill.

What adds to the price

Jobs start at $100. Stairs +$25, appliance with freon +$40 each, and tires +$10 each. How pricing works.

Not sure if it goes?

Text a photo to (541) 706-1756 with a note about where it is, like the basement, the back of the garage or the side yard. Calvin replies with whether it can go and an estimate.

Odd items come up all the time. A smoker that quit, a heavy hoist left after an estate sale, a glass desk that has to come apart first. If it is not hazardous, the answer is usually yes.

Cases of boxed paper cups loaded in a box truck
An old camper torn down in a dirt lot, ready to load
Flattened cardboard from a business loaded in the truck bed
A carport with an old screen door, a ladder, hoses and bins waiting to be cleared
An old green fabric couch

“Did an incredible job hauling away all the unsold items from a huge estate sale. They even took apart a huge heavy hoist that I thought could never be moved but they did it. Super efficient and hard working. I would definitely recommend and use again.”
