A storage unit is easy to rent and easy to forget. Every month it costs money to keep things nobody uses. Calvin empties the unit so it can be closed out.

Leave everything where it sits. Calvin carries it out of the unit himself.

Remote cleanouts

Many storage jobs happen while the renter is out of town. Give Calvin the unit number, the gate code or a key, and a photo of the contents if you have one. He clears it and reports back.

Settle the price with Calvin ahead of time and you do not need to be there.

Keep what matters

If a few things need to be saved, list them or mark them. Everything else is sorted for donation, recycling and disposal.

If the saved things are going into the house, a garage cleanout clears room first. For full properties see real estate cleanouts.

Closing out the unit

Once the unit is empty, you can end the rental with the facility.

A small unit is often a partial load on the 18-yard dump truck. A large unit packed to the ceiling can be a full one.

Working around the facility

Storage facilities have their own gates, hours and rules about where a truck can park. Calvin works within them. He backs up as close to the unit door as the drive allows and carries everything out by hand, so the aisle stays open for other renters.

Units packed years ago hold surprises. Old mattresses, a fridge someone meant to sell, boxes of papers and furniture still wrapped in moving blankets all come out. Usable pieces are pulled for donation as the unit empties, and metal goes to recycling. Paint cans, fuel and chemicals stay behind, because they cannot ride on the truck.

How the price works

Text a photo of what needs to go to (541) 706-1756. Calvin looks at how much room it takes on the truck and texts back one number for the whole job. No hourly rate. Jobs start at $100. The only add-ons: stairs +$25, appliance with freon +$40, tires +$10. He tells you before he starts. More on how pricing works.

“Did an incredible job hauling away all the unsold items from a huge estate sale. They even took apart a huge heavy hoist that I thought could never be moved but they did it. Super efficient and hard working. I would definitely recommend and use again.”
